Turn food miles into food feet by growing your own!
Plant garlic now to harvest in summer. Ensure you purchase Australian Garlic from your local nursery (the Chinese garlic from the supermarket is bleached and won't form into full heads in my experience). Plant 5-7cm deep into good fertile soil with the pointy end up. If planted under fruit trees, growing garlic becomes a good insect deterrent.

The night was hosted by Carbon Cop, Sean Fitzgerald and included film screenings, sustainable art work and local organic food.
We've captured the event on DVD which includes the featured films and some footage from the evenings
