About Us
Sustainability at Home and Beyond is a project running in the Surf Coast Shire Municipality (Victoria, Australia) from late 2007 to mid 2009. The project focuses on positive responses to local and global sustainability issues.
More than a series of 'green' workshops, Sustainability at Home and Beyond questions everything from our food choices and commuting lifestyles to our recreational shopping habits and asks… are they sustainable?
The project uses a combination of film nights for awareness raising and household sustainability workshops for practical advise, information and inspiration.
Sustainability at Home and Beyond also includes the Eco Casuarina project, which will help around 20 shire residents unearth and develop their own community based sustainability projects.
Sustainability at Home and Beyond is funded through the State Government's Sustainability Fund and the Surf Coast Shire.
